Question

What does Binance's recent API update mean for Mulvad (VPN) Users?

Answer

Binance recently changed its API write requirements to include a whitelisted IP. The whitelisted IP requirement is a form of enhanced security which can be switched off at the user's discretion.

Binance recently changed its API write requirements to include a whitelisted IP. This means you need to have a list of IP addresses (whitelisted) or a single dedicated IP whitelisted to be able to use API keys.

If Mulvad is used, each server has a set of IPs it uses and you'd need to whitelist all of those to have your keys whitelisted.

The whitelisted IP requirement is a form of enhanced security which can be switched off at the user's discretion. Please note that this setting resets from time to time and you will need to log in to Binance to manage the settings if you choose not to whitelist IP addresses for your API keys.
